APRIL 2013

April 1, 2013

Hi Everyone,

Even though the calendar says April, it feels like winter.  Soon the snow and ice will be gone and the lake will be open.  Can’t wait!  Below is some information about what’s been happening at the marina.  We’re excited to see everyone and begin another season!

Slip billing-if you have a marina slip, enclosed is the billing.  We are happy to offer a $30 discount if paid within 10 days of receipt.  If you no longer want your slip, please let us know, we’ll credit your bill and work though other storage options.

As long as we’re on the subject of billing, we still appreciate if you can pay your monthly bill with a check or cash.  If you can’t, we’ll gladly accept a credit card.  We send bills out every month for your charges.  They need to be paid in full every month.  We will add a finance charge if they are not paid in full.  Only exception is if arrangements are made for winter storage.  Thank you.

New look-we’ve had a new logo developed and a change of name, so to speak.  Our official name is Handberg’s Marine, Inc. but we have used Handberg’s Recreation & Marine for the past 10 years or so.  We also use Handberg’s Marine.  We don’t care for the “recreation & marine” part, so we’ve changed our logo to Handberg’s Marina.  We will still continue to use Handberg’s Marine.  So, it’s interchangeable and hopefully not too confusing.

We’ve created an official business Facebook page, Handberg’s Marina.  Check it out when you have time and if you feel like it, give us a “like” J.

A little update in the store-a facelift so to speak.  You’ll see when you arrive.  We really hope you like it!

Staff-pretty much most of the staff is returning except Casey and Megan.  Casey will no longer be working at the marina.  He’s landed a good job close to his school and using his engineering skills.  Megan is not returning either.  She is finishing school this spring and would like to be closer to Casey.  We will have a new guy on the dock, Krisjan Callahan from Illinois.  Krisjan has been to the Cache Lake Boy Scout Camp behind Sandpoint Lodge and liked the area so much he got a job here!

Reminder from the Service Department-we appreciate a week’s notice for the first time your boat comes out of storage, especially near Memorial Weekend.   Thank you for working with us.  Hey, SSL is a short version of Spring Service Launch.  That is the term we use for the first time your boat comes out of storage.

In closing, THANK YOU, for your continued business.  We appreciate you very much and can’t wait to see everyone!
